Woman Molested in UP Ambulance, Husband Thrown Out Without Oxygen
In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh, a woman was allegedly molested by ambulance workers while accompanying her ailing husband to a hospital. The accused then threw both her and her husband out of the vehicle after cutting off his oxygen supply. Tragically, the man later died during treatment.
The incident in Siddharthnagar district on August 30 . The woman’s husband, Harish, had been unwell for several days and was initially taken to Basti Medical College. When his condition worsened, doctors referred him to another facility. Unable to afford the fees of a private hospital, the woman decided to bring her husband home for treatment.
While en route, the ambulance driver allegedly forced the woman to sit beside him, where he and his aide sexually assaulted her. When she resisted and attempted to raise an alarm, they cruelly stopped Harish’s oxygen supply and threw both of them out of the vehicle. The woman also claimed that her jewelry was stolen by the driver.
Harish, severely injured and deprived of oxygen, deteriorated further. The woman contacted her brother, who immediately alerted the police. Harish was rushed to Gorakhpur Medical College, but he tragically passed away during treatment.
The woman lodged a formal complaint at Ghazipur police station in Lucknow, alleging that no immediate action was taken to arrest the accused. Additional Director General of Police (Lucknow North), Jitendra Dubey, confirmed that a case has been registered and assured that appropriate action is being taken against the ambulance workers involved.
The heart-wrenching incident has sparked outrage, as calls for justice grow louder in Siddharthnagar and across the region.
